Island Time Preschool is located in the heart of West Seattle. We provide a program where each student is cared for in a loving, nurturing environment while working towards the goal of kindergarten readiness. Every day we provide opportunities to experience new things through fine and gross motor activities. Students will learn and grow in unique ways through art and science exploration, play and hands-on experience. Our dedicated teachers have vast and diverse experience as childhood educators to assist students to develop the tools they need to be successful preschoolers.
Our daily routine is well-balanced between academics and play. We have a custom theme-based curriculum with a weekly topic to engage the students and keep each day new and exciting. We offer an integrated classroom - both older and younger students come together for circle time, movement, music, free play, snack and story time. We split into groups for writing skills, art, and science activities.

Ages 2 1/2 years to 5 years old
Here at Island Time Preschool, we believe that providing a safe, nurturing space for children to grow socially, academically, emotionally and physically is key to successfully preparing them for the big world of elementary school. We hope to instill a love for learning that will continue throughout their academic years and they will look back and remember all the fun times they’ve had at Island Time.
We have a theme-based curriculum that integrates engaging, weekly topics that keeps each week new and exciting. We know just how important hands-on learning is and we provide many classic and unique ways to explore all that preschool has to offer.

Harmonized Classrooms
Both older and younger students come together for circle time, free play, snack, story time, music and big movement play. We’ve seen positive benefits from having children look up to their slightly older, more mature peers.

We have deep roots in this community and we have seen generations of children beginning at kindergarten all the way to high school graduation. It’s important to us to keep West Seattle a wonderful place to grow and learn. Island Time is very excited to expand to the wonderful world of preschool and we look forward to connecting with you and your children.
Future Programs
Upon graduation from Island Time Preschool, children will receive a priority enrollment window in Island Time Kids, our school-year program for elementary aged children. Together we hope to create lasting relationships with our families as we create a community for children to flourish.

Our school hours are from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM Monday - Thursday

10:00AM - 10:30AM ~ Literacy & Mathematics
10:30AM - 11:00AM ~ Snack
11:00AM - 11:15AM ~ Teacher Led Story-time
11:15AM - 12:00PM ~ Group Enrichment Activity

Our daily schedule is flexible and may change slightly throughout each day.
We follow the Seattle Public Schools Calender for days off school and snow days. All projected school closures will be listed in your parent handbook.
Our schedule is structured with allotted free play time. This allows for students to explore the materials, space and most importantly their creative side. During our structured group time, class will be split by age to better accommodate skill level and academic challenges set by our teachers.
Enrollment
Enrollment is a two-step process:

* 1st month’s payment is due upon registration. This will hold your spot in the program and is non-refundable. We require a 30-day notice of cancellation.
Tuition
4 days a week - $900 per month
2 days a week - $500 per month
Tuition is based on the full preschool academic year which covers all costs, and is split into 9 even monthly payments.
Unlike most programs we do not charge additional fees for registration, snack, supplies etc. Preschool shouldn’t be overly complicated.
